CREW Inland Empire Member Spotlight - Lucas Sceranka
SBA Relationship Officer | Enterprise Funding Corporation
What is your Board Position?
Why did you decide to join the Board/CREW?
I was approached in 2014 by then outgoing Chapter President Jeanne Batista, who thought I'd be a good fit, and so asked me to come on as Treasurer. I had only been a member for about a year at that point, but I was impressed with the quality and variety of members, along with an emphasis on unique events which add value for members in an increasingly competitive networking space.
What is your specialty?
Through my company, I offer financing for small business owners using the SBA 504 loan program, which offers very low cost, fixed rate financing for real estate, construction, equipment, and refinancing conventional debt.
What types of referrals are you looking for?
Any small business owner, existing or new, who is seeking financing to own the land, building, equipment, etc.. to operate their business. As an example, we commonly deal with business owners who have been leasing a space and are now ready to own and because the SBA 504 loan is such a low cost to the borrower, it offers a very low cost path to transitioning from leasing/renting to owning.
What are your Goals for the Board this year? For our CREW chapter?
My goal for this year, is for us to continue finding innovative ways to reach out to people and help to facilitate growth in the commercial real estate space during what has been a challenging time for many. More than ever, it is important for us to be able to rely on our business partners and colleagues, and we can help to provide valuable information and connections for professionals throughout the Inland Empire Chapter.
