CREW Inland Empire Board Spotlight - Emily Brun

May 5, 2020

Emily Brun
Cushman & Wakefield

What is your Board Position?
My board position was Director of Sponsorships until Lindsay Mingee (co-chair) and I decided to re-brand this position to Director of Partnerships. We look forward to building and nurturing the partnerships that form between CREW Inland Empire and the firms that support, encourage, and help expand on the presence of women in the industry.

Why did you decide to join the Board/CREW?
The reason I joined CREW Inland Empire’s Board of Directors is to pay it forward. CREW has contributed to the early success of my career. I firmly believe in the proverb “if you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” The women in this local chapter and global network provide so much support to women like me, in the early years of their career. I could not turn down the opportunity to participate in growing the support of our local chapter.

What is your specialty?
I specialize in helping investors and business owners grow their wealth through acquisition, disposition, and 1031 Exchanges. However, I am on a full-service retail team here at Cushman & Wakefield and my team is incredible. We participate in all facets of commercial retail. This includes but is not limited to tenant rep, landlord rep, leasing, investment sales, you name it!

What types of referrals are you looking for?
I am always open to any type of referral. If it is not a deal best suited for me then I will point the client in the right direction. I take pride in connecting people with the correct resource for them. During my short tenure in the business, I have found most of my success has come from helping owner/users purchase their first commercial property. CREW IE has allowed me to foster great relationships with amazing lenders who specialize in Small Business Administration financing as well as conventional loans. This provides me the opportunity to help business owners every step of the way from obtaining financing to completing a business plan to ultimately locating a property they can operate and succeed in.

What are your Goals for the Board this year?  For our CREW chapter?
My goal for the board is to grow our chapter and have a blast doing it. The women involved in our chapter are so kind, extremely successful, and most of all passionate about their work. I have no doubt the future is very bright for CREW Inland Empire.
