CREW Inland Empire is Accepting
Scholarship Applications for 2017 Academic Year

CREW Inland Empire is a local chapter of CREW Network, the industry's premier business networking organization representing more than 10,000 professionals involved in industries related to commercial real estate transactions.  Founded in 1989, CREW Network offers strong connections globally in over 70 major markets and in nearly every discipline within the industry- including brokers, attorneys, lenders, architects, engineers, appraisers and more.

CREW Inland Empire feels very strongly about giving back to the community and mentoring the next generation of commercial real estate professionals.  CREW Inland Empire is committed to making an impact by offering scholarships for students pursuing a career in commercial real estate and has announced that it is now accepting applications.    The deadline to apply is September 15, 2017.

This is a local scholarship funded by CREW - Inland Empire Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit arm of CREW Inland Empire. This is a purpose-specific scholarship available to women interested in pursuing a career in a qualified field within the commercial real estate industry. Scholarship winners will be given the opportunity to network with the most dynamic and successful industry professionals as well as the opportunity to be awarded with a scholarship of up to $2,000.

Wendy Hagen Bowen, the President of CREW Inland Empire, recalls how important it is to mentor and support women as they enter the commercial real estate profession:  "So much of what I have accomplished in my career is due in part to the influence and support of some amazing women.  I am immensely proud to be part of such a strong network whose stated mission is 'to influence the success of the commercial real estate industry by advancing the achievements of women'."

In 2016, CREW Inland Empire selected two students to receive $2,000 scholarships.  This year's scholarships will be presented at CREW Inland Empire's Glass Sipper event which is scheduled to be held in early October 2017 at The Farm at the Fairplex in Pomona.  The annual Glass Sipper dinner is a Farm to Table dining experience combined with wine tasting and a silent auction.  Scholarship winners are presented with their awards at this event and are inspired to pursue career aspirations in commercial real estate by surrounding them with outstanding entrepreneurs and business leaders in the Inland Empire.   For more information regarding the scholarship program, the Glass Sipper event, or to make a tax deductible donation to the CREW Inland Empire Foundation, please go the website at www.crew-ie.org
